Terms of Use

Plain-English terms for downloading, using, and supporting Musou for Mac.

1. Who we are

Musou is made by Musou. Payments and licence delivery are handled by Polar (polar.sh) as our merchant of record.

2. Free features, forever

Musou includes a permanent Free tier covering every core mode (Away, Work Focus, Follow the mouse, and Custom), Only the video, up to 2 screens, up to 2 lit windows or Custom choices (plus your video), and the Instant, Fade, and Dissolve transitions.

3. What a Supporter or Patron licence includes

• Supporter · Version 1 ($14.99 launch price / $19.99 regular): unlocks every Supporter feature in Musou 1 and all 1.x updates, yours to keep, on up to 3 personal Macs you own or use. Version 1 owners also receive 40% off Version 2, or get Version 2 free if they purchased Version 1 within the 12 months before Version 2 is released.
• Founding Supporter ($14.99): unlocks every Supporter feature across every future version on up to 3 personal Macs, plus 2 thirty-day guest passes for friends.
• Patron / Mecenas ($39.99+ pay what you want): unlocks every Supporter feature across every future version on up to 5 personal Macs, plus 2 transferable Version 1 gift licences for friends (covering up to 3 Macs each), 5 thirty-day guest passes, optional credits & Patrons wall listing, and the Patron mark.
• You can deactivate a Mac at any time in Settings › Supporter › Deactivate this Mac to move your seat to another Mac. Please do not resell or publicly post licence keys.

4. Free trial

Every Supporter feature can be tried free for 14 days inside the app with no account and no payment card required (extendable to 30 days when you share Musou or join the launch list). When the trial ends, you return automatically to the permanent Free tier with zero charges.

5. 14-day no-questions-asked refunds

If Musou isn't right for you, request a full refund within 14 days of purchase for any reason—no questions asked—at Musou Support (via your Polar receipt or inside Settings › Supporter) or through your Polar receipt page.

6. Your copy keeps working

One-time Supporter and Patron licences do not expire. Even if we ever stop selling Musou, your installed copy continues working.

7. Provided as is

We build Musou with great care, but it is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. In no event are we liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from its use. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights under the laws of your country.

8. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time; the date at the top reflects the latest revision. The licence terms in effect when you purchased continue to govern that purchase.
